I was just able to sign up with my other gmail account. It may be open for a few. I'd go and try to sign up.

I tried with my gmail account but it still says it's in a limited field trial. It just offers the ability to sign up to be notified when it goes public.

The Join button on that link takes me to the "Google+ is in limited Field Trial" too. I'm always game for trying out Google's new projects. If anyone gets some invites to send out, please let me know.
