Mowgli. You're so brainwashed from watching the Disney version, you end up expecting certain things to happen. Not sure if this emulates the actual book or not as I've never read it, but it's a great rendition.

Season 3 of The Last Kingdom was outstanding. Might be up there with some of the best seasons from a TV show I've ever seen.

Frontier, starring the guy who played Khal Drogo in GoT, is also pretty watchable.
