Could it be?

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 4)

I think the water that he coughed on was isolated to the shower. It seemed to be a barrel system fitted with a pump to put the water under pressure. They are clearly advanced since last season but I doubt they would have time to rig up indoor plumbing.

I agree I think the sickness is something completely different than the zombie infection. That's why they made it a point to show the pig dying. The zombie virus doesn't affect animals so the pig dying must signify something else. They also made many other hints about too many new people being brought into camp. With increased population comes increase in likelihood of disease. The way the kid died it has to be something like an Ebola virus or some kind of plague.

I was hoping they wouldn't go the deadly virus route. When I heard they were introducing a new more dangerous threat I thought that might be the route they went, but it feels too easy. It's just going to create a constant false tension because there isn't any way for them to combat it and it's just going to be hanging out there. I really hope they don't take the easy way out and chose to make the majority of the season about the group instituting a quarantine system and use the distrust of segregating group members as the main obstacle of this season.

Enjoyed the episode but did anyone else feel the sequence with the Irish lady was pointless? Pretty much the same thing we've seen every season just with an accent.

I thought she was a talking walker at first. Actually kind of wish they had gone that route and introduced a new level of personal struggle coming to grips with having to deal with half human half zombie.

But the whole thing was just to try and stress Rick's movement away from violence. The graphic novel has more opportunities to stress how resolved Rick's character is against aggression but amc is having to get there quicker, part of why they repeatedly showed how anti gun he wants to be.

Daryl also licked his fingers and gave the kid a handshake, hmmmm. lol

Also I thought Herscel was a vet, why didn't he take a look at the pig?

I think it's sad that Deangelo still hasn't properly dealt with what happened to Wallace.
