Re: Wonder Woman 2 (2019)

I really miss going to the movies and I have zero problem with going but around where I live we went into like a lock down again and theaters are all closed again and I dont see that changing by xmas. I dont care to have hbo max I am good with Hulu and disney+ and the fact a lot of my free time is spent watching sports. I may do a free trial so I can see this and the fresh prince 30 year thing though.

I like gal gadot and I really enjoyed the first movie.

Really happy this was on hbo max so it was easy to turn it off with about 45 minutes to spare

Re: Wonder Woman 2 (2019)

I legitimately think that without theaters, movie will just not have that same pizzazz of:

- Big screen and sound
- Reacting to moments with an audience
- Turning off your phone
- Not having pauses/distractions
- Feeling like you have to get your money's worth to finish the movie

I'm not saying you should have. After all, I haven't seen the film. I'm just saying that with that luxury you have, anybody else could do that at any time, and it's just too darn bad.

I don't fully follow what you're saying, but I think I get the gist of it.

I'm sure there will be some who like it, and if I had seen it in theaters then I would have felt obligated to sit through the full movie. Distractions and lack of the theater experience are not what ruined it for me though. I probably hate it less now than I would have had I actually sat through the entire 2 1/2 hours because it wasted less of my time lol.

During this time of no theaters, I realized that for me personally none of that ancillary stuff means anything to me anymore. The actual content of the film is all that I care about now. I am actually more locked in at home watching movies than in the theater.

I'll watch this tomorrow, but IMO it's better that a person can just turn off a film that they aren't enjoying, rather than them staying in the theater feeling like they're being held hostage to a certain and extent which probably exacerbates their negative feelings about the movie. Being able to just shut if off, and just moving on to something else that they want to watch is a good thing, IMO.

Edit: the statement above supports my thought process to a T.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Wife and I went to see this today in the theaters today. We both enjoyed it. For me, I thought the first one was better but this one was still good. If you are fan of DC or Wonder Woman then I recommend seeing it.
