Regina is fantastic in everything she does. I consider her one the greats now.

I was really thinking I had seen her in more roles, but looking at her IMDB list I haven't really watched her in anything since Jerry Maguire.

Re: The Watchmen (HBO)

We finished this up last night. Absolutely incredible from the opening of the first episode until the (fully expected) cut to black at the end. Going into his I didn't know Damon Lindelof was involved, but considering how the episodes were structured and how the revealing of information was done it definitely bares his mark yet a lot more satisfying than LOST was. I guess JJ is the one to blame for all those red herrings/loose ends.

Anyway, the whole cast was outstanding, but Regina King deserves the recognition because she carried all the emotional weight. Jean Smart had me in stitches in nearly all of her scenes. Loved the "flashback" episodes for Will Reeves and Angela respectively. Everything tying together and connecting by the end was great to witness.

Absolutely fantastic show and a great continuation of the Watchmen story.

HBO is murdering Netflix's original content.

Nah, Abrams didn't really have much to do with Lost after the early part of Season 1. Lindelof deserves his fair share of blame for Lost meandering middle and unsatisfying endgame (although to be fair, 120 episodes on network TV is a higher degree of difficulty than 9 episodes on HBO), but I give him credit for learning from his mistakes on Lost and Prometheus. Watchmen was fantastic and I've heard great things about The Leftovers, although I don't particularly feel like watching it during COVID.

Re: The Watchmen (HBO)

It was more a joke than any real critique - though JJ's movies seem to have similar problems.
