question from a new madden to espn player

when i started my franchise with the ravens i was stoked at all the options. i turned weekly prep on, but was completely confused with everything. i dont want to turn it off, because i like the player progression. my question is do player still progress with weekly prep off and if so what determines their rate of progression. if they dont progress with it on, what are some tips to make weekly prep easier but still effective. yes ive skimmed through the weekly prep sticky, but maybe someone can point to a page to enlighten me. oh by the way, been playing madden since the commodore and its time for madden to be dethroned. espn is far superior in every way. great job sega/vc. its good be a gamer these days. please someone help with the weekly prep
