Letter to VC and Sega
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that I just sent out a letter to VC and Sega thanking them for their great games and letting them know that the customers are still there. I know it will most likely not even reach anybody important, but I felt like it was something I had to do. In the letter I made it very clear that I will purchase ANY football game that VC/Sega wants to put out. I don't think it is illegal to basically put teams in a game without their correct cities (i.e. Boston instead of New England, Indiana instead of Indianapolis) and to use the "real" players represented by their numbers instead of names. Madden used to do it all the time before they got the NFL and NFLPA licenses - plus they did it their first year on the N64. VC can just put in #18 at QB for the Indiana team, using all of Manning's ratings - just not his NAME. Then let us edit the names - it is no different than what we do with college football and basketball games. Heck, let us edit the team names, too.
If this is against the "rules" please let me know. But this was the suggestion I put in the letter.
Sega has made the BEST sports games we can buy. I think it would be great if more of the diehards on OS would do the same thing I did and let VC/Sega know how much YOU all appreciate them, too!!
