Was the "UNK" variable every deciphered?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I did a search for "UNK variable" and didn't find much. I really am curious what the UNK variable in the game does. I know some people said it had something to do with player progression...is that true, and does anyone know what each UNK does? It would be great if there was one UNK that allowed for progression based on playing time and performance...

Well not totally no ones really pursued it function other then Finn himself the creator of the editor and the last I heard anything about it was its function as it relates to offensive and defensive linemen how you'd have to ask him via his e-mail link or his site which can link you there to ask him directly.

As for going through them and deciphering their effect on gameplay it never happened from what I know and this is Finns last know refrence in its regards...ask him direct he'll respond in time.

I thought it did something with how the fans wore jersey #'s

I thought it determined how their player ratings were affected throughout the season.

I thought it was a "plant" by the game developers to get us wondering and talking about it on message boards while they sit back and laugh.

I am interested in the answer. How would you test this? Just choose one player. Change his rating. Sim a season or two. Change the rating again. Sim more seasons. Repeat multiple times and compare the results. We could get a handfull of people to be responsible for different positions. If that's the case I'd be willing to work on it.

Somehow I thought it did the same thing...probably because we have all seen that player progression is largely predetermined...interesting thing is that all rookies in franchise have UNK 0 if you look at the draft class...

i think it has to do wit jersey #s by fans in the stands look at vick or rally popular players team by team

reason most rookies or 2006 draft class cadilac u know have 0 is cause there created on the game when cadilac should have at least a 2 hell

I got proof now look at the bucs FB Allstot know u guys know he isn't progressing or is he a big time player but he is prob the popularest playrer in tampa owe yeah he has a 3 it's jerseys folk
