I must agree with the original poster. NFL 2K5 is still a great game. As long as NickChew or others build a 2006 season update, I have no interest in Madden 07 this year.

I seen 2k5 for PS2 for 2.99. Is their any difference between the PS2 version and the XBOX version? I own the XBOX version but since the PS2 version is 2.99, if their is a difference I would probably pick it up.

As long as there are willing ppl out there who will continue to update this game, it will continue to be on par with Madden. I will buy Madden tis year but I can guarantee I'll be back with 2K5 come seasons end.

Once you hook up your stadiums soundtrack, learn all the running combos and start hooking up your crib, this game keeps on shining.

I saw a used XBOX version for 1.99. The XBOX version is way better than the PS2 version. The graphics are more detailed, the full motion halftime show is still frames on the PS2, and a franchise file takes up a decent amount of PS2 memory card while it barely nicks an XBOX hard drive. Also, you can't use Finn's editor with PS2, which really blows. I have both versions of the game because I started with a PS2, but when I saw the xBOx version I went out and got it on XBOX.

Why? It's a more complete football package than Madden 2005 or Madden 06, and I'm guessing Madden 07 won't match up as well, either.

NFL 2K5 is a classic videogame, much like a vintage car. Should people not drive a '57 Chevy or a split-window 'Vette because there are '06 Impalas on the lot?

I agree completely......I got a used X-Box copy at Gamestop for 2.99....I picked it up, grabbed Finn's editor and an action replay and grabbed the rosters off of this site and I'm having a great time with the game....
