Video: Right Thumbstick Running Tips!

Yo guys check this out. I came across a great 2k5 review from next level gaming. They also have nice gameplay videos of 2k5. I found a very helpful video involving the use of the right thumbstick juke moves. I did have to pause at times because it went alittle too fast. Everyone who wants alittle help with those thumbstick moves should definitely take a look. Before watching this vid, i always found myself just flicking it once and doing the regular stutter step or something ordinary. Now, this video has got me jukin like a real nfl rb. Here ya go guys:

WOW, this ish is crazy. I was playing on my PS2 with someone's updated rosters (Well, they only did up to round 2 of the NFL draft, but hey), and Reggie Bush is a effing Evasion MONSTER with these. I only returned one punt for a TD out of like 30-40, but that one was damn well worth it. Opens the eyes...I'm never using L2/R2 again for this game again(Except when I need to strafe.).

Re: Video: Right Thumbstick Running Tips!

i wonder how this works with charged moves. I know when i do a charged right/left juke it jukes too long and i can make the first guy miss but since i'm still dancing some other fool comes up from behind.

so your telling me there is actually a use for the stop move! i thought that move was useless, but in a combo it might be useful

Re: Video: Right Thumbstick Running Tips!

Its so hard to pull of combos in this game. I try and try and try and usually get tackled by the second defender all the time. Sometimes I get lucky and dont press anything for the second defender and it'll go into the break tackle animation where I have to botton mash to break free.

Anyway, the right stick jukes are detailed, its just a bitch to pull off with consistentcy. Plus, doing to much at once will eventually slow you down allowing for defenders to catch up to you. Its better to use these moves if you're playing against a human since humans make silly tackling mistakes. The CPU can pursuit like cheetas.
