superhuman QB stats when simming

question for the experts-

I'm learning alot very quickly and did all edits tonight...

I went with Pujas rosters and DFBs tweaks from
"
Daflyboys' Tweaking Guidelines for '07"

I am assuming DFB made tweaks to boost the offense for live gameplay and not for simming because
when I simmed with 5 minute quarters, I got superhuman QB stats.

Also I see that the LBs made all the INTs!

how can i get realistic stats from the QBs/DBs and still get decent gameplay live? (a decent balance)

thanks

One presumes the other. Basically meaning, that I don't think you can. We've talked about this on these threads for a while now and if anyone figured that out, they sure didn't share any information and, especially, files with the community to demonstrate this.

It comes down to what you want. Personally, I loved this game so much, but had had it with the multiple INT games by the cpu QB game in and game out. So one tweak led to two, lead to four and so on. Fortunatelly the game is fairly flexible between the tweaks and the sliders. I was big into the stats at one time as well, but when it came down to it, I looked at why I have the game....to play it. The stats I will forget about, but a tremendous game experience will last. So I play on 9 min. qtrs. and sim on 3, so that the scores stay somewhat reasonable. If I want to get a little crazy about the stats, I simply take them as who are the relative leaders despite any of the numbers. That usually suffices for me.

I'm no expert...

But it has been my experience, in NFL 2K5 and other sports games, that it's best to put in work yourself to find a balance. It's good to read forums to get an idea of what a game is like, but ultimately people have different abilities and preferences and so using other peoples sliders and tweaks will only take you part of the way. You're gonna have to spend the time to get it as close as you can.

I have yet to find a sports game that will give you completely realistic results... Or at least the ones that come the closest in terms of stats haven't been so hot when it comes to the actual game on the field. It's probably a good idea to just keep in mind that you're not going to get perfect results, and then accept that close is good enough.

Re: superhuman QB stats when simming

so if I boost the DBs I will have too many ints in the live games?
I will try to boost it up a little and see if I can strike a balance...
thanks

Re: superhuman QB stats when simming

well i tried boosting the dbs and small difference- the Qbs are too strong.

If I want realistic simming stats, whose ratings should i best use?
thanks
