Madden 08 Ratings Spreadsheet

A few people have talked about wanting to import/use various ratings from Madden in their own NFL2K5 rosters. Personally, I don't like that idea at all for a lot of reasons; the biggest being I just don't agree w/ their system- it's like a Hollywood movie in that the ratings (like the game & company overall) are driven by dollars/popularity/the masses rather than by football, performance, scouting, metrics, intelligent analysis, etc. That said, if anyone still wanted to see them, here are all the ratings from Madden straight "out-of-the-box" & completely sortable in an excel spreadsheet.

Keep in mind:
1) this is EA of course
2) it's quite outdated on top of that
3) the range of ratings is significantly different from the design of 2K5
---over 40% of players are rated above 80 OVR in Madden
---most players' positional attributes have a min of around 80 too (eg the minimum for PST is roughly 80 for QBs)
---the minimums for 2K5 are lower than that of Madden (another example of EA afraid to be bold/real, not wanting to lose any sales to unhappy Raider/Falcons/Dolphins/etc fans)

I set the layout so you can see the 17 attributes that Madden & 2K have in common & you can also separately see the other attributes unique to Madden.

Ya....I don't know why guys would want to mix 2K5 and Madden ratings. It's apples and oranges. If the apples are these sweet, juicy, delicious, crisp apples and the oranges are disgusting, moldy, worm ridden oranges!

Actually, it's more like comparing ice cream (2K5) to crap (Madden). I must admit that I tried this a few years ago but it doesnt work. All I did was waste my time and $20 on Crapadden. In short, dont bother.
