Why do I have to jump through hoops just to get a proper guy to field punts and kicks?

You guys build this game up so much and yet it has insane bugs and glitches just the same as Madden has. And you can laugh at Madden 2005 all you want, but at least it has the right guys returning kicks, had a depth chart that was easy to manage, and had an auto-reorder feature that would allow me to make the CPU fill in the best (and proper) players to fill in every position on the roster, and at least Madden made realistic free agency moves. I would never see three franchise quarterbacks on the same team.

All of these stupid things 2k5 does is grating on my nerves.

We tolerate the bugs/glitches because the gameplay is fun, realistic and immersive. When a game becomes more of chore then fun, it is time to quit playing it. This is why I quit playing EA football games 5 years ago.

Why does it always have to come to this? Just tell yourself, "Okay, this is more than I want to do and it doesn't meet my expectations. I'm done." Why do we have to get the Madden thing involved. Not all of us think either is a bad game. Live and let live. You guys are like my 75 year old mom sometimes. You bitch for the sake of being heard and nothing more.

I see more people trolling Madden boards over this game than the opposite.

Besides, I'm not the one who brought up Madden in this conversation.

I have never seen anything like this in any of my Franchises. I just went through an entire season, simulating - but I played a few series each game to see who would return the punts and kick offs.. they were DBs. No one that I faced in two seasons other than DBs returned the punts, one team had a running back though (Titans had a rookie back and Samari Rolle back there returning the kickoff) but no QBs, Linebackers, anything.

Edit: I also tested with the Fantasy Franchise, nothing. They have DBs returning the special teams.
