I have a copy of 2k5 for ps2 but it wont work on my ps3 is there something i can do. It says the disc is unsupported. please help

Only the original 60gb PS3 are backwards compatible.

Mostly true. don't forget the 80gb are fully backwards compatible as well (PS1 and PS2).

If you have a 40gb PS3 (which is the most frequent type available) or 2ogb you cannot play PS2 games.

80gb are mostly backwards compatible because they use enumlation rather then the PS2 hardware.

WOW!!! That sucks and is why PS3 is crappy. Thankfully, I dont want one.
