Why does the speed boost feel ineffective?

I mean seriously, Ike Taylor, who has 94 speed is getting chased down by lineman and Willie Parker is getting chased down by linebackers. FWP has 97 speed people!! I'm not sure if I can tap the A button any faster. If I did I would probably ruin my future masturbation prospects (Predictable Joke). But seriously, it just seems that Steeler players are considerably slower than everybody else in the game. Has anybody else encountered this?

Depends on the sliders.... What diff. you playing on? If you go look through the slider settings on this site most people have the cpu persuit on the lower end. On legend the defensive persuit it to high. That is probably the problem. I used to have the same problem until i used sliders from this site.

Fyi if it says blocking 0/40 its 0 for the user 40 for the cpu. The number is the # of clicks from the left.

Yeah its not just the Steelers...if you play on any of the game's default sliders (and by that I mean its different difficulty levels), usually the CPU will catch up to you, regardless of how fast your player is.

What sliders are you guys talking about and how do I get to them? Are there certain sliders I can download?

I'm just playing on All-Pro. So every slider is essentially equal for CPU and User. But when I play the Panthers, Stephen Davis is pulling away from Troy freaking Polamalu!! Stephen Davis has like 89 speed and Troy has 95 speed. Would the pursuit slider change this?

Indeed they would. Lower cpu persuit so they dont catch you. As for them out running you i forget which slider does that (guessing hum persuit).
