So the guy couldn't get me a transfer kit thing and told me to fill out a form and send it in. The problem with that is that I don't have the 20GB HDD that I told him I had. The other problem is that he said it could only be used once! Somebody explain this stuff to me.

Lesson #1- Don't lie

Lesson #2- Call Microsoft again and talk to a different rep

Lesson #1 - You're not supposed to say you're going to use it with your computer. That's not what it's made for.

Lesson #2 - For what reason? If they don't have any, they don't have any. As simple as that.

I don't know what you are exactly asking, but if you are going to use the cable with your computer to transfer roster/franchises to your HDD...you can use the cable more than once.

When you use the cable to transfer HDD to HDD...then it can only be used once because the second HDD keeps track of it.

I woudn't know how to convince the rep to send you one, but you could fill out the form and just see what happens.
