Turn on Progressive Scan Mode

To enable 480p progressive scan mode in this game, all I have to do is to go to options, presentation, and then to progressive scan right. I read somewhere about pressing Triangle & X while booting up the game. What is that for? I want the definitive way. Thank you.

Re: Turn on Progressive Scan Mode

Some PS2 games had you enable Progressive Scan by pressing Triangle & X, other, like 2k5, had it as a menu option.

If it is, it would be in the options (which is where its at on the PS2).

However, if you're playing the game on the 360, it doesn't need to be turned on. The 360 will output the game at whatever resolution its set at (this applies to everything that the 360 displays). It has a hardware scaler built in that handles the resolution. If a 360, for example, is set at 1080p, everything being outputted from the 360 will display at 1080p.

Re: Turn on Progressive Scan Mode

Okay, I was wondering about that. I'm on a 360 playing the XBox version, and there is no progressive scan option. The graphics are pretty good though, probably what I would think of as 480p or thereabouts. In other words, I can tell it's not HD, but it does have more clarity than if I were to play a PS2 game on my 1080p flatscreen. And I think All Pro 2k8 looks great in HD, even though some people slammed it for graphics. Man, if only we could've gotten NFL 2k5 (and all of its features) with the HD graphics of 2k8...I don't think we'd need another football game for 10 years (or at least until EA exclusivity ends, if it ever does).

Re: Turn on Progressive Scan Mode

^^that's b/c it's integrated into the hardware. if you have component cables connected, your xbox will automatically output to 480p. this is why if you were to have both the component & RCA/composite cables connected to your TV, and tried to swap one for the other as the output plug from your xbox, the system will automatically reset. there is no way around this

the games themselves had been output in 480p for years on xbox. heck, NFL2K2 was 480p. NBA2K3 was 720P. Enter the Matrix 1080i
