Lower Agility and Speed for OL

I lowered the Agility and Speed on my Offensive line and my OL started really protecting my Qb. It seems like when I make them too fast they would get taken out of the play way too much..

They were low 70's and high 60's. Now I have them at 48-58

Sort of with ya on that. From my tweak guidelines this past year:

OL & DT's:

---Agility: Max 70; Min 35

---Speed: Max 50; Min 10

---Jump: -90% (max: 8; min: 2 ----- all O-line = 1)

Yes. This happened to me when I experimented. The Tackles backed off the line too fast and left lanes for defensive ends, the Guards moved out of the D-lineman's way quicker.

How do your settings affect run blocking?

What does this do to plays with pulling lineman?

Thats what I was wondering. I'd love to have them pass block better, but I don't want to sacrifice a good pulling guard.

Re: Lower Agility and Speed for OL

I havent really seen anything negative on running plays yet.
I will have to test it out some more..

I was thinking of lowering my TE's speed and FB's too. It makes sense to me now why players would miss blocks..They were too fast

Re: Lower Agility and Speed for OL

My fastest TEs are in the very low (70-73) range. Most are in the high 60s. There must not be a huge difference in speed, because they still beat safeties sometimes down the middle and I always see RBs in the low-mid 80s outrun CB/S in the 90s in my roster.

I know pursuit has a bearing, but I see it on both sides (me and the cpu).
