Never played this game, have a couple of questions

I've always played NCAA/Madden, but I think I need a change, and I've always read such good things about this game. I have a few questions, if you guys don't mind answering, mostly about rosters:

1) Is there a limit on created players?
2) What's the max. roster size?
3) Are there any retro uniform options?
4) Can you edit existing players?

Do you mean uniforms teams have worn in the past? Then yes it has all of them(or close to all) 4) Can you edit existing players? Yes but not during a franchise unless you use the editor.
