There might be light at the end of the tunnel for 2K fans. I'm a 2k fan, but I bought Madden because I have no other option. I hate having no other options...

No big deal this isnt news. Ea has nothing to worry about the only way anything is going to be done is if the NFL loses their exclusive deals. this topic comes up more than you think. If your search the madden forum you will see a nice long thread with great detail as to why this isnt a big deal.

The NFL has the right to choose who can and cannot use its copyrighted images and team names. The NFLPA has the right to choose who can and cannot use the likenesses of the members of their union. EA sought to be the exclusive distributor for the video game rights. This lawsuit is total nonsense as nothing is stopping the competition from making a football game, they just can't make an officially licensed NFL or NCAA game.

The UFL and CFL are certainly up for grabs, as well I would presume video game rights to NCAA FBS, Division 2, Division 3, Junior College, NAIA, and high school football. So EA did nothing to stop any competition, they merely limited the avenues others could use.

As much as I dislike the NFL for doing this, it is their right. This lawsuit is a waste of time.
