Bout to buy this game for 99 cents! What do you guys recommend??

I have never played this game, and have been wanting to forever! Finally going out to buy it today at Gamestop for only 99 cents for the ps2. I don't need updated "2k10" roster, but it would be cool if that was possible. But would like some good sliders/setting etc... And anything else that u guys think I may need to make this game the best experience possible, thanks!

The game is awesome on it's own without modifications, but with slider adjustments to your tastes it's "Perfect"

Tried those...Wayyy to hard for me for now lol...Just gonna tweak on myown as I play. Finished first game and beat the Giants with the Colts 31-17 I had 185yds rushing on 30 carries with Edge tho, so def have to lower HUM running down, and HUM blocking down a little bit.

I need to get a new copy, the one I got today is extremely scratched up and it freezes, announcing goes into a "loop" mode, and repeats stuff when play is over. Hope this isn't normal at least, but as bad as it is, I highly doubt it.

Yea you definitely have a messed up copy as I haven't had any of those probs (and I've owned the game literally since it released 6 years ago lol).
