To my knowledge, no. I don't think the Slim is PS2 backward compatible - most of the fat ones aren't either, for that matter.

It can probably play PS1 games (any fat PS3 can), but not PS2.

As can I. It's because we have one of the early PS3 models - I have the 60 GB one, and the 20 GB and SOME 80 GB also can (there were two versions of the 80, and one came after they stripped PS2 BC).

60GB here as well, and I can play all PS games....I bought mine about 6 months after launch, and it's still going strong.
