Frustrated, please help!

So I finally got an original xbox, Action replay, memory card and 2k5. I installed Action Replay and Finns editor on my PC. The memory card that came with my Action Replay does not cause it to light up green but I have another Xbox card that does. Here is what is happening for me:

1) I open the file in Finns editor and I get message saying something about name corruption. I have selected to auto repair and also on other occasions not to.
2) I open a player change nothing, hit accept and then save the file and it says it is successful.
3) When I drag the file to my Action Replay it keeps saying it is not a valid Xbox save.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong???

#1. Download a different file. I would suggest VC's last updated file (you can get it from the link below). This is a stable file and will let you know if it is a problem with the AR or the file (most likely the file). If you are able to load up that file without problem, you know it is the file you opened previously (I'm guessing FNG's file as it is always name-corrupted).

#2 If that is NOT the problem and no file loads on the card, you probably have a hardware problem. Are you using XP? I know there are issues with Vista. I can't use my Vista laptop, but everything works fine with my XP desktop.
