Anyway to merge (?) a Roster File with a Franchise File?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered hundreds of times before but...

I've been making changes to a Roster File (Convince's 2K11 file) and I've only just now realized that I'm not going to be able to take that Roster File into an Up-To-Date Franchise so I downloaded a Franchise File (Convince's 2010-2011 File).

Now, is there a way to put all my changes on the Roster File into the Franchise File? Or will I have to make the same changes in the Franchise File?

Sorry again if this is a stupid question or has been asked before. But thanks a lot for any and all help. I've been using the idea of an updated 2K5 game to get me through Finals Week, ha ha.

You can right-click on a player and hit 'Copy' and then go the the Franchise file and hit 'Paste- Exact Copy'. This way may be tedious and some players could be duplicated or deleted.

Another way is to load the roster into the game, create a franchise with that roster and then load that into the Editor.

I guess I don;t understand why you can't just take that roster into the game, start a franchise and then go into the editor and put the correct schedule in. That would work. The only thing you wouldn't have is correct draftees and you wouldn't have them in most franchise files anyway.
