NO XBOX Online Leagues!!!

No Xbox Online Leagues, those screens from Football Friday were for PS2 through espnvideogames.com.

I just got an email from VC and they are writing up a press release tomorrow about it. I guess it all started when Gamespot posted those screens as Xbox ones, but they were not, they were for PS2 only.

"The online league is for PS2 only. We will be issuing a press
release with details shortly."



That sucks, but at least we can let this talk end...

That must mean that Microsoft told them they couldn't do it. Cause they already had online leagues in place on the Xbox version a month ago and were still negotiating with M$ about if they could do it.

Microsoft must have said no for whatever reason.

Hmm. Interesting.

Well, like I said we'll all find out in the next two days.

In any case, it's been a pretty poor job by VC, Microsoft, and game reviewers in not clearing this up. I mean, we're gonna end up not knowing for sure until many of us have a copy in our Xbox.

But maybe that was intentional.

Yah, I'm almost done with my email to TechTV demanding that they make the correction in their Xbox review. And Gamespot will not be immune to my poison pen for mixing up the screenshots.
