If I have and like Madden 2004--should I buy ESPN NFL?

Is ESPN NFL Football worth getting even if I already have Madden?

I dont know much about the ESPN versions. I like Madden and NCAA 2004. Is it worth the extra 50 bucks to have both versions (Madden and ESPN)?

Nails, take it from me a HUGE Madden fan. Get the game, you will NOT be disappointed. It is mucho fun.

I may do just that. Rent it and then decide. I just read the Operation Sports review of the game and it sounds fun!

I love Madden. But somehow ESPN gets all my playing time. Buy it!

I have a suggestion though before you play it don't play Madden I mean don't play MAdden at all, don't compare it to Madden either or you will dislike it. It took me a while to get used to it on dreamcast cause I just knew that EA was the only brand of football that worked but after it came out on PS2 I started understand what VC version of football was trying to do. So be open minded and you will enjoy it.

Like MaddenMan, being a HUGE fan of both games, I say you should AT LEAST try the game for a week. It's a great game with a different feel. Now you MAY prefer the feel of Madden and ESPN may turn you off just because it's a different pace and control, but if you aren't "set in your ways", each game excels at different things and just like Madden has a unique feature like Owner's mode, ESPN has FPM - a unique mode that needs to at least be tried out by most people. I say you should definitely give this game a full week of play just to get used to it. DOn't compare it to Madden. Why? Because normally, it's human nature for people to define something that is "different from what I know is good" as "bad". That is not the case with this game. Give it a shot for a week. Put the EA games to the side. Don't nitpick the game. Don't try to assume what it should feel like.

You won't be disappointed. At least you won't feel that you wasted your time on a bad game.

I'm a Madden fan who really disliked the last two Sega games, but I absolutely loved the ESPN demo I got last month. I'm sitting here waiting on the FedEx man, so I can't tell you how much I like the final version, but I can't imagine it not being better than the demo.
Many people have said that the gameplay has been Maddenized, and I agree. It feels more like what I'm used to after playing Madden every year. I really think you'd enjoy it.
