I mhave Marshall Faulk on my team and I know he is a very goog HB. My problem is, I don't know how to change direction when I am running rush play on the playmaker.
Example...
The play say's to rush on the left side, but the opponent put an extra defender on that side. Now I wanted to change it to the right side. Problem is, I don't know how. I try to use the hot route feature but doesn't help. It won't change. Help from someone please!!

Assuming you are talking about Madden (since "playmaker" isn't in ESPN), I should probably move this to Madden.

But since I'm in a particularly lovely mood today, I'll assume you just mean to flip coverages in ESPN and leave it here for now.

Hit the audible button, then click the right thumbstick. Your rushing play now goes the other direction.

I am talking about ESPN. It also has a little bit of playmaker mod, but probably I don't know how to use it properly. I could change direction for my recievers but not for my rushing players.

Yes, there is no "playmaker" in ESPN. It's just a play flip...that's where the confusion came in. And yes...B, then click the R thumbstick. Problem solved.

Okay I'll try it. I always though that it was the black button that does the flipping.

My team doesn't have good WR nor does it had good QB, so I have to settle to my first pick which is a good in rushing. But if the defence detect it, it's useless. Reason why I encounter problems with this right stick change direction feature.
