Throwing the "Qucik Hit"

Love the game, but just a quick question: Trying to run the "quick hit"/WR Screen Pass, but it never seems to work as I plan. The QB seems to take too long to release the pass ( I can never get a quick pass off, even on quick slants) and when the WR catches it, there's a delay that prevents me from intially moving up the field and allowing the defense to get to me. Any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of is to use Maximum passing to hit your receiver in stride so he wont have to change his pattern to come back for the ball.

It's a timing route. Let the Qb do the drop back on his own. It may be a 1 or 3 step drop back. If its 1 he'll tack one step and stop (you must throw the ball then) If it's a 3 step, let him go back and to 1 hop, then throw the ball.

It's all in the timeing.

Oh, and one more thing.... make sure the receiver is open.. or else it's a pick
