I think other teams adjust to you during the season.

When you set your gameplan for the week, I think the CPU teams do the same thing. I have the #1 Pass defense in the League giving up 180 yds per game. I went to Indy to play and they ran the ball 75% of the time.

Also, I had allot of sacks the first 2 games of the season, since then the CPU teams have held me to only a few sacks.

I am having a ton of fun with my season with Carolina. I am averaging 16 points per game and giving up 13pts per game. I have had 2 last second wins.

Carolina 10 Jacksonville 7
Carolina 17 Tampa Bay 28
Carolina 7 Atlanta 3 (95 yard TD drive in last 3 minutes)
Carolina 24 New Orleans 9
Carolina 24 Indianapolis 23 (FG with 1 second left)

They do. The scouting report tells you whos doing good on offense and defense of the other team so they adjust to try and stop your top players too.

So when you set your gameplan for the week I assumed that would only come into play if you let the cpu call all of your plays. Am I missing something/.

No, you set your gameplay each week. You have to take into consideration what team you are playing. How you set everything affects how your team practices for that week, and how they play during the game.

Example: If you are playing Miami, you would want your defense to stop the run more so than the pass so you woul set your gameplan for that.
