How is ESPN online??

Hey guys,

How is ESPN Online? I played one game so far online and it was pretty "laggy". I've got an excellent connection so I figured it might be the servers, since NCAA runs silky smooth on my connection.

How is the "fair play" of ESPN? And where can I find all of the OSers when they are on?

Just wondering because I've been having waaaaaaaayyy too much fun playing a franchise with my roommate to go online.

Re: HIGHLY COMPETITIVE ESPN LEAGUE JOIN NOW

Are you talking about PS2 or Xbox?

XBL play is sweet like candy. PS2 online play ..... isn't.

While I have seen some slowdown online in the Xbox version, in general it is as smooth as offline. PS2 online play is much laggier, and the servers seem glitchy. Lost of problems getting on and staying on last night, for example.

BUT - the PS2 has online leagues ( like this one) that turn online play into digital crack. Slow, frustrating digital crack, but addicting nonetheless.

Dammit!! I have a PS2. Hopefully they will get that resolved in the near future. I really couldn't stand the lag on ESPN..sucked the fun right out of the game I was playing.

Re: How is ESPN online??

ON the XBox version, I don't think they penalize plug-pullers. It happened to me last night, when I was up by two touchdowns.. at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, moron went for it on 4th and 15, and when he didn't make it BAM goes the plug. Talk about immature... how are these people going to get better at the game if they pull the plug every time someone gets a lead on them (this guy REALLY sucked, btw)?

I've been roasted in games of Madden and the previous 2K games before, sometimes by 50 points+, but I stuck with it. It's obvious that I had stuff to learn, so I figured that by watching the other guy play I'd get better too.

What is so hard to figure out about this? I almost wish there was no such thing as rankings, I think that just encourages plug-pullers.

I think if they plug pull you will get a Q instead of a D

A quit instead of a disconnect, in other words, if someone has high Quits does that mean they are bad??
