I agree, Kanobi. I was thinking about posting this same topic this morning. But I decided to go play ESPN Football instead.

I don't notice that at all. But the commentary has stayed very similiar since the origninal 2K, maybe you are just used to it more.

I feel you Kanobi! By the way, they don't even mention the coach match-ups at the beginning of the game anymore! Remember they used to talk about certain coaches being rivals, and about which coach hated which player. And there is no excuse for not having Michelle as sideline announcer this year. I could have waited another 2 weeks for them to include her..... (ok maybe not). But anyway, ESPNFL 2K4 is untouchable!

Anyone else miss how Dan would state how long your players have been in the league, and from what college they came from in your franchise? So, if Ricky Williams ran for 14 yards up the gut, and this was in franchise mode, Dan would say, "What a great 14 yard gain from the seven year man out of Texas"

Another thing with the commentary this year....it doesn't seem like the guys recorded their lines together. In 2k3 they did ALOT of back and forth that really gave the sense you had two guys in the booth callin the game.

This year its the opposite. It feels like Madden a bit in how you can tell the two recorded their lines at seperate times and not together in the same studio. In 2k3 Dan and Peter had an extensive amount of dialogue that made the games really seem alive.

Have you unlocked the outtakes? If you listen to them you can hear that they recorded the lines together.
