RB's running THROUGH defenders glitch. Patch planned?

I guess I didn't notice this as much as I do now, but every other running play it seems that my RB or the CPU's RB simply walks/runs THROUGH a defender like he's not even there. No collision detection whatsoever. And for a game which actually has great collision detection, this is suprising. I notice it in both the PS2 and Xbox versions. After a play where this happens, I'll check the replay and sure enough, the defensive player trying to make the tackle got walked through like a ghost. I doubt VC will patch this for Xbox but it'd be nice.

After countless games played, I finally saw/noticed this last night, backup HB Ledell Betts on the Skins ran right through my Mo Lewis. I see a lot of player "melding" on other plays too, blocking wise and receiving wise. Nothing can be done about it. Oddly, one of the reasons I hated this year's Madden is because it happens all the time. Not nearly as bad with this game though.

Oh yeah, sliders are useless. All-Pro default is the way to go, if you have trouble with the run, adjust your gameplan before the game, not sliders.

Darn you Chodite! I didn't really pay this any attention until I read your post. I now notice that I see it as a means to initiate the 'slide to waist stiff arm maneuver'.

LOL i'm sorry bro. i didn't notice it much either until just recently. it's not *horrible*, but it's very noticeable when it does happen... which is maybe 3-5 times per game.
