Online Play
Ok here goes...
I have a home network system that consists of 1 pc, 2 ps2 with network adapaters, and cable dsl, all conected to a switch using cat 5 cables. I just got online play going for my ps2 and bought some online compatalbe titles and the headset to try it out. Socom works great, good use of headset...Tony hawk 4 and ATV offraod fury 2(came with ps2 bundle) seem to work fine, only played a few games on that. Played a few games of madden 2004 w/headset, works great, no problems. Played a few games on my PC, America Operations, BF 1942, (just to test out network connection)work just fine as when I only had the pc just by itself. Also had a game of Socom and Unreal tournament for the pc playing at same time, worked fine.....Now we get to the problem...
ESPN NHL Hockey...unbearible slowdown and lag...Game starts to play in slow motion. PLayed a few games with the headset, and the guy I was playing with said that its not my connection or network that causing the problems, its the servers and or routers that sega uses. He said he was also getting slowdown on his end to...
ESPN NFL Football.....more tolerable play but also getting major slowdown problems.
I have played during peak hours and have played during slow hours...not noticable change in play.
Am I the only one getting these problems? ESPN hockey is unplayable online for me, football is a little better, but by not much. Any ideas/suggustions are greatly appreciated.
