Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, guys!
But the numbers still are overtop of the wrinkles. There are no shadows from the wrinkles that extend THROUGH the numbers.
I didn't say that that's the ONLY problem. But adding this will help sell the illusion of three-dimensional figures.
Look at all the wrinkles and shadows surrounding the numbers on T.O's chest. None of them extend through the numbers.
Plus look at #25 for the giants. The numbers only serve to HIGHLIGHT the flatness of his chest. If they just added a few pixels to show the edges of the 25 curving around more, then they could sell the illusion on depth better.
Granted, the bottom part (the foot) of the #1 on #41 of the Giants is bent, but the shadow from the wrinkle is not there. Shadows = depth. Depth = illusion of 3-D.
Again, all it could do is add to overall look of the game. Just look at the chest numbers on Madden. They curve.
