What little nuances would you like to see in ESPN Football 2005

Nuances? Hmm…let me see…from what I read, here are some that other NFL2kers mentioned that I agree with 100%:

• Manning's over-done audible adjustments. This would be very cool!

• Helmets popping off! ABC's MNF WAAAAY back in 1994 on the SNES had these. Why not 2k5 on an Xbox?

• Different animations (and outcomes) for chain gang measurements. Again, they must be different. I don't want to see a pattern where I can connect an animation to a result with 100% accuracy. Much like how Peter gives away the result of a challenge every single time. The chain gang measurement should have some suspense to it.

• (From my man goober.) CUTSCENE OF FANS FALLING ASLEEP IN THE STANDS BY THEMSELVES WHEN THEIR TEAM IS GETTING BLOWN OUT AT HOME! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! I LOVE this idea!!

• The Colts hand-smack and head toss after a field goal is made.

• (Wow, the Colts really do have a LOT of personal nuances!) The Colts team shuffle right before the kickoff. I heard someone mention earlier that the NFL will not allow this for this year. Is this true? If so, how in the hell are they going to stop it? Fine everyone on the team $5,000 each? The NFL needs to lighten the hell up!



Nuances that I would like to see:

• After-whistle skirmishes between HUGE rivals. (Dolphins vs. Jets, Chiefs vs. Raiders, Redskins vs. Cowboys, etc.) Have the refs squeeze in between them to separate them. At least once a year, have it get out of hand with the ref throwing the flag for a personal foul. Maybe even an ejection of a player with a cutscene of him cursing to himself, pointing at the other team's bench as he is being escorted to the locker room!

• Late hits out of bounds where the player gets tackled into the benches or even better…HAVE HIM SLAM INTO THE GATORADE BUCKET WITH GATORADE BLOWING UP EVERYWHERE!

• More emotion related to the score, what is happening on the field, the magnitude of a score (a TD to tie the game with 43 seconds left in the game) and even playoff implications. Teams should be going nuts, jumping up and down screaming if they just beat their inner-division rival to secure a Wild Card spot in the Playoffs.

Dan and Peter should comment on the situation too…'Peter, they did it! Not a lot of people gave them a chance in this game today, but they proved all of us dead wrong!' 'You hit the gridiron spike right on the head, Dan. I was not convinced that this team had what it takes to overcome a deficit like they just did, in a game as important as this. Congratulations Cleveland! You have this season's AFC North Champions! We will see you in the Wild Card game next Sunday! Great job guys!'

• Gatorade dump on the coach after a HUGE playoff win or playoff implication victory.

• Cutscene of a closeup of the disappointing face of a kicker that just shanked a kick to lose a game.

• Cutscene of a coach chewing out one of his players for a bonehead penalty.

These are just few that I would like to see in 2k5!
