SHOULD SEGA GET RID OF CRIB MODE, EXTRAS???

I think Sega, in order to really compete with Madden needs to devote all time, resources, memory to gameplay. Gimmicks like the crib wont help IMO.

My question for you all is..would you prefer progressive dirt on uniforms that add realism to the game over Crib Mode..which I personally never used.

I think they'll have progressive dirt on uniforms this year so this is a bit of a moot topic, however I think that the extras like Crib Mode aren't the worst thing in the world. You can't have a 100% sim and expect amazing sales. Sometimes you have to cater to the casual fan.

In my opinion the fact they put the crib on the game is not what prevented them to make progressive dirt available. The crib is not essential to the game, but i think many ppl (me included) like it.

OF course, in the end what everybody wants in the first place is the football game itself to be as perfect as possible, so this is why i feel weird to vote on the crib rather than on a thing like progressive dirty... i think Prog Dirty in this case was just an example you picked to say they should focus on the game instead of extras... but in this particular case i have a tendency to say that the crib adds more to the game than a simple thing like progressive dirty (i know many ppl give PD a huge important but not me).

about the crib what i would like is that most of the items would not be attached to default difficulty settings in order to be unlocked. On 2K4 you have the break tackling issue that forces u to custom set the sliders and by duing so u cant unlock most of the nice stuff of the crib. Im glad that they fixed the running issue, so maybe this year is ok to play in custom settings.

I dont like the crib mode stuff myself. I wish they would work on adding a hall of fame, retired jerseys etc. The hall would add so much to the guys you draft. I hate that you want to draft the next rushing champ and after he gets hurt or retires or whatever all his stuff is gone.

They need some sort of records and HOF thing like Fever had(I dont really remember how it was, I had the first verson of Fever)
