I highly recommend the Pelican Eclipse for ESPN NFL Football

There was a thread that asked which was the best controller to use. I picked up the Pelican Eclipse controller for the Xbox from Walmart for $15. It has extra black and white buttons on the controller where you would fine the R1 and L1 buttons on the PS controllers. For $15 its a very good quality controller and feels sturdy.

First off it's shape and size is the same as the controller S. The extra black and white shoulder buttons make stiff arms a breeze. They also make adjusting you linebackers and DBs much much easier. You no longer need three hands to adjust your linebackers and DBs before the snap.

The only real problem which isn't really a problem in my book is the start and back buttons are positioned in between the D-pad and right analog stick. Once you get used to the different location of the start and back buttons its all gravy.

Oh yeah this controller is straight meat and potatoes. So you don't have any turbo buttons. It just has the extra black and white shoulder buttons. It also has a ten foot cable too.

The analog buttons are good. They aren't as tight or ridgit as the controller S's but still seem sturdy.

NCAA 2005 will be the first team sports title(I previously had Fight Night) that I will purchase since getting my XBOX.
I've been playing College Hoops(rental) trying to get use to using the the black and white buttons for gameplay, and after so many thousands of games using the PS2 controller it has been a struggle to say the least. This controller looks like it may be a cure for what ails me. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up sports I will have to check this out,seeing as how I rarely stiff arm when I run due to the mapping of the controls.By the way..how are the buttons? meaning are they overly sensitive, or do they feel pretty much like the s. I'm just curious due to if it affects bullet or lob passes at all, thanks

I've noticed that the Black and White buttons are in akward locations, and having them where the shoulder buttons are on PS2 would be great.

Microsoft should make one with the black/white buttons on the shoulders and still keep the other ones in the original position.
