yea...vibration is there...and if im not mistaken the actual analog feel is better on xbox

Yeah the analog stick is much better.

You don't have to pay $150. I got one this past weekend for $120. Unless you're another one who thumbs their nose at used products. And I guess you don't need memory cards but yet they make memory cards.

The loading times are so much shorter though. That really got me excited being a Sony guy for so many years. But I'm not a brand loyalist(except for Jif peanut butter). So when the PS3 and Xbox Next come out I will weigh the pros/cons before making a decision.

Well you could go this route - Do u have some ps2 games you no longer play or want? Take those to Gamestop and buy a refurbished xbox for around 100 bucks or so...trade in some old ps2 games you no longer play to take that 100 price tag on the refurbed xbox down some more...You'll get a xbox dirt cheap that way dude and its well worth it LOL..xbox has tons of games that are totally amazing.

I'll put it this way..i have both ps2 and xbox and if i was stuck on an island and only had a choice of one console to keep with me, it would be xbox, no doubt about it.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of getting a used Xbox, too. I'm just worried, though, that since it's and older version of Xbox AND it's used, that there's a greater chance of something going wrong with it.

just cop a new one...150 isnt really that much for 2 or 3 more yrs...

there are sooooooooo many good games coming out...and not just the fact that they are good...they are, dare i say, tapping into the power of the box

Buying a new one is gauranteed to be a great event. I love opening up new hardware knowing it is YOURS.

But if you have to go used, it shouldn't be a problem. That's how I got mine. Just ask to see the manufacturing date (it's clearly written on the bottom of the console) and if it was built in 2003 or 2004, you're money. Not saying the old ones are not reliable, but anything built in 2003/4 is a third generation product.
