I think the irony is before Madden 2004 came out I asked for a Owner Mode in it on some wishlist -- I played with it once and just didn't do anything for me. But, to each their own.

A: No create-a-play this year. You guys REALLY don’t want to deal with that just yet. Our play system is a programming language in of itself. Just ask Dave Z. J We haven’t tapped half of it’s power yet

I would love a create a play feature, thats the only reason I hve bought madden the past couple of years.

I know this dude. He lives in the office at times. He probably answered these questions at 3 am. But he's pretty laid back. That pot shot at Madden may not have been at Madden. It's not like you can't do the same thing in Lameday or Fever...

I think the franchise stuff will get answered in another session.

In a round about way, create a play is in for defense as I think about the hot routes system. You cannot create anything from scratch, but you can use the structures of coverages already in the game and do some funky stuff with assignments. In a "soft" way you will be creating coverages from defenses already in the game.
