I'm a Coach mode gamer. Is there new imformation on this yet? Last year's coach mode was excellent, with the exception of a couple things... No hot route option and no way to fake snap.

Does anyone else here play in this mode?

'Fake a snap' does not matter. It is a pretty useless feature. The CPU opponent never jumps offsides when you use it. It would be nice if it came back though. It was pretty effective in NFL2k1.

and you would sometimes have your own players jump too. They really never let these happen anymore. They made the game better. Frustrating to have your OT jump offsides, but great when you had their DT jumping. What happened to that?

I never play coaches mode, but I would not think you would get these 2 things as a coach anyway. Isn't that something the QB is left to decide? Maybe you mean you would like to see the QB call hot routes more often when he sees a good matchup?!

Well, I'll tell you guys one thing, having the CPU control all the action with you calling the plays makes the game look and act 10x's more realistic. What's fun to me is calling an audible from the sideline. It makes it much easier to do so when you have a graphic indicating which play you are changing to.

I have hardly played ESPN, Madden, or NCAA in coach mode. I used to be in a local coach only league using the old FPS Football on PC. We would actually send the league around on disk and go over to each othere houses and just coach against each other. Last year I had a league on Madden where I simmed the games and just acted as GM/President/Owner.

But I will agree with you that everything looks more realistic and the stats come out better if you let the CPU control all of the players.
