I'm probably a day late with this post, but I just now saw the video at espnvideogames.com about the game prep stuff, where you can control your team's focus and preparation during the week leading up to the game. Looks awesome.

I disagree. I mean, yes, tackles should not be broken with such frequency, but good sliders toned down the broken tackles last year, and the opportunity to actually game plan and strategize during the week leading up to the game (which is so important in the NFL) is more than simple asthetics, if implemented properly.

Although I'm sure you seriously meant that, and I couldn't agree with you more.

On-topic, all the weekly preparation stuff is what I am looking forward to the most. This feature gives us a previously unfathomable (is that a word?) amount of control over our personnel over previous video games, and definitely injects a great amount of much-needed life and depth into Franchise mode. Probably the closest I'll ever get to being a real football coach.
