Was there any slowdown in 2K4?

If not, I don't think 2K5 will have a problem. I can't stand having slowdown in sports games. NCAA has lots of slowdown, I can barely play it. It's too frustrating.

Although the review stated the are framerate issues in 2K5, they specifically said that it was only during graphics overlays and such. Thank God it's not during gameplay...

I noticed some slowdown on the PS2 version last year but only on kickoffs when it was snowing. Otherwise, none.

graphics overlays? Is it the same as cutscenes?

This could also be before the snap (when it show QB stats etc). But it's cool because those overlays leave once you snap the ball. The review for NCAA clearly stated that it was an issue, so if they say it's a minor annoyance, it sounds like they're talking about non gameplay.

I thought there was some slowdown during the statistical overlays in 2K4, but it wasn't during gameplay like NCAA 2005 (which I found out first-hand today).
