Custom soundtrack questions

I'm just starting to mess around with the custom soundtrack feature, but I'm not 100% sure of what I'm doing. Right now I'm copying a few songs from my cd collection to my xbox. Not sure what my next step is, but I think I will then go into the game and see if my song show up. Hopefully I will figure this out, but I do have a few other questions.

How many songs can the Xbox hold? I'm not copying the entire cds, just the songs I want.

Is there an option to choose what parts of the song I want to use? (ex. beginning, middle or end.)

Can I create more than one group of songs to play in my stadium. I dont' want to hear the same song over and over again. I would like some variety.
