INDEED!!!

Do you think that they'd have to get permission from every player, in order to put their ink in the game? I remember when I bought basketball cards back in the early 90's, when players started getting noticable tats (nothing like nowadays); they would always be airbrushed out for some reason. I also remember for a period of time in comic book stores and in the back of sports/music magazines there were these shirts they were selling with famous athletes/musicians tattoos on the sleeves and front and back. That lasted for a while until Dennis Rodman and Ozzy Osbourne decided to sue the people printing the shirts that had their tats on them.

So I wonder if you need to obtain permission in order to reproduce the image/artwork?

I absolutely do not care to see tattoo's in videogames. I thought NBA2k4 looked totally ghetto because of all the tattoo's, and honestly detracted from the game IMO. Just as I'm detracted from watching it on TV cause it looks so ghetto.

Tattoos are ghetto now? I guess bikers, sailors, goths, frat boys, and club chicks are all "ghetto" too then.

well said...dude in the future try to stray away from those types of comments, they can only make people mad..and side note, do u know what NBA player has one of the highest number of tats? Cherokee Parks, and if he's "ghetto" then i dont know what to tell ya...by the way..they should do the ink, as a fellow tatted up person i always love to see others representation..."stay Ghetto"

Cherokee Parks? Figures an Indian would have all them tats.

Re: Where\'s the Ink?

Nellie is our (D Mavz) coach, NELLY is the one who owns a piece of Charlotte simply because he wanted to... wutz tha problem with him doing that? Expanding your portfolio is all of a sudden a problem? The game IS to be SOLD ya kno... (look at Jay-Z, he got a part of the Nets)

And I don't know why they don't have tattoos no more, I honestly don't care either... But I know it ain't because they are somehow "ghetto"... Biggest piece of [censored] I think I've heard on these forums. Is it ghetto when a punk or rocker gets a tattoo? Same difference

Re: Where\'s the Ink?

Well, I have a tattoo on all of my limbs and 1 on my chest. But, before the 90's, usually tattoos and earrings FOR MEN were viewed as negative and some times criminal. I think that everyone and their grandmother(My mother-in-law even has one) has them. But ghetto...that sounds a little racist...

No they do not have to get permission as long as the player is a menber of the NBA's Player union then their likeness is property of the union, and the union can do with it what they please. It just has to be so much damn work. B/C everybody has one of ten, i myself have 11.

The best part about Nelly becoming owner is that they will now serve chicken and kool-aid at the game. Know what I'm sayin.
