For those not sold on the right thumbstick

Load up the 91 Lions with Barry on it. Go into special moves practice and practice some of the right stick moves. Then go into scrimmage and do those moves on the other teams defense. Now the most important view the replays after every big play you get. You will see some realistic, sick jukes on the db's and lb's. Moves that can't be done with the face buttons and triggers. I swear sometimes it looked just like Barry out there running trying to find holes and ways to make the tacklers look stupid. On a side note when you edit Barry, which you must do cause his number is wrong, after you put his name in there is a pop up that says name database match found. Just a little tid bit.

But aren't there only like 4 moves that you can do with the right thumbstick, 2 of which are jukes?

nope you move the stick right and rotate it back and they will do a juke then a spin. Also

The first time I tried the right thumbstick...

I was rod smith returning a punt. I was frustrated how I could not seem to break it loose on returns so I decided to try the right stick. I stuttered and spun my way through the first rush of tacklers and was out in the open. One stiff arm later and dusting the kicker I got an 80 yard punt return for a td. I think it can work well if properly used.

thats Barry f*ckin Sanders thats why. The Juke Stick is what he does. His rating should be 99 in agility and break tackle.

whenever i try it, it just responds to slow and i get tackle, i rarely every juke right out of getting hit, i usually get hit in the middle of a juke stick move and i do that spin out break tackle

I'm going to go into practice mode tonight and work on that. I haven't used it yet just because it feels strange.

The only reason why I haven't tried it is because I like to use the speed burst. Pressing the a button on Xbox and using the right thumbstick just don't mix. But I do want to start using it because I have a feeling that pulling off a few juke moves and THEN using the speed burst is the key to breaking off a nice run.

If you're slowing down while using the right thumbstick to juke, then that means you're likely stringing too many moves together by moving the right thumbstick around too quickly (pushing several different directions on the stick before the initial move is completed on screen) and the game will record and eventually perform every single maneuver in sequence. The ball carrer will run swiftly when you do 1 move or link 2 moves together. However, linking 3 or more moves together will slow you down. You gotta be more careful with how much you move the stick around while the ball carrier on screen is performing a single juke maneuver.
