This was posted at the IGN forums. Apparently you can use other teams playbooks online just not custom ones.

" I know people were asking about it a few days ago, but I don't know if anyone has posted it yet. but to do it go to VIP, then manage and you can change your default playbook. when you go play online, that's the one you will use."

Is this true.
