not sure how much your willing to spend but for ultimate xbox viewing get a 34 inch widescreen hdtv, they've come down quite a lot in price, i have a toshiba, picture as nice as either panasonic or sony but much cheaper.

If you are willing to spend more money, then a 30 or 34 inch Widescreen TV is your best bet. Make sure it's digital. Go widescreen, you'll never want to watch TV on A 4:3 analog TV again. Gaming is awesome on Widescreen TV's. Trust me I know.

Ditto. I love playing on my 47" widescreen, and I hate it when I go to my parents and have to play on their 27" 4:3 screen. I feel so limited. Still, I guess the 27" beats trying to pack up my 47" into the car to take with me.

widescreen. i have a 47". the ea games specify widescreen in the option menu. sega offers component. you will need to buy the component hookup for $10 to $20, buy the better cables because i bought the cheap and there is a slow down a bit at times. you win both ways.

In all of this hoohah I didn't once hear that the thread starter say he wanted a widescreen LOL.

But we can assume, can't we...

Also, do you need to buy the monster cables for it to look good, or can you have the standard cables that the Xbox comes with?
