AFC Depth Charts - ACCURATE 9-4-07

i realize depth charts are fluid but for what it's worth **** Jauron named Bills' starters:
-ILB Paul Posluszny
-RG Brad Butler
-RCB Jason Webster
-the 1st CB off the bench is Jabari Greer, surprisingly not Youboty or Kiwaukee
-Also, OLB Keith Ellison is injured indefinitely-- Coy Wire replacing

are these from ourlads? just curious b/c they look familiar w/ the "how acquired" info next to each player's name but i cant remember where ive seen this

he's okay when he's healthy (read: rarely)

The funny thing is, the Bills want McGee to lineup on the opponent's best receiver (not surprisingly)... but this is typically the flanker, which means McGee has had to flip to the opposite side of the field (one he has never played). Meanwhile, Webster has naturally lined up over the flanker his whole career & is perfectly comfortable there. Since the switch, both guys have really struggled w/ their footwork & arm usage since it's their non dominant limb in both cases-- McGee has even said he has real trouble pushing off on that side.

It was about a month ago that BUF made that switch but the less than stellar results have seen them flipflop back & forth since. Jauron says this is just to make sure both guys can play both sides, but the BUF media is still inclined to say they want to make sure McGee can (try to) take away the opponent's #1 no matter where he lines up.

thankfully BUF plays a tampa cover-2 (like Indy last year), so if corner play is esp lackluster, @ least their weaknesses will be heavily downplayed by the safeties.

I'm just so used to see him getting owned by Devery Henderson (when he was a Falcon) and then Bush owned him on a slant-and-go in the preseason that had him looking for his jockstrap... I just think he fits a nickel CB better at this stage.

unfortunately so does kiwaukee thomas/jabari greer/ashton youboty at this point. doh
