Jsou how does the 105 rating fair against the rightstick juke? You know the spin animation that it triggers and how it = Easy score

Exactly, but again, the original programming only provides for so much of a window (which is why guys get crappy stats on default attributes ... poor pass % and too many INT's throughout a season), and the editor will assist with it, but again, have good ingame stats or simmed stats, but you'll never get both. That's just the reality........ good luck.

Thats why break tackle can be lowered too, i lower it 10, 20. However, with the slider increased they tackle just as well as before, just with more realistic looking animations.

This is how I think it works. The high the rating and the high the slider, the easier it is to make certain animations trigger. By easier, I mean the suction, or space to trigger is further. For example, without tackle lowered, a tackle will start even though there is no physical touching. The lower the rating or slider, the less it will happen and the more realistic it will look because it will happen because there is actual contact without warping. Because of this slight warping, many tackles that happen in closer proximity dont register. Trust me on this one, lower tackle rating, increase slider, see what you get. IF tackling is still too easy, lower break tackle a little. There will be a lot less stopping in ones tracks when the defender doesnt even have the angle on the ball carrier.

Thats interesting seeing how (not tryin to flame madden) 2k5 on default settings tackle registers usually at the very instant contact is made unlike madden where they suction and morph and the ballcarrier telepathically stops his movement.

There are few instances where this happens in espn

Yea, the "SLIGHT" warping isnt very noticable. But if you watch the replay and analyze the moment of impact in slow mow, you can see it. I player will auto turn to the ball carrier, not so much warped, but it is an effect that can be fixed by lowering the tackle rating, once fixed, theres more break tackle and tackle animations.

Some examples, more shouler shots, Running backs can rarely break two tackles simultaneously, if they are a beast and have the angle on two smaller, weaker defenders. Also, you can tap A to shed off tacklers even without the red flashing on certain animations.

Actually I didnt mean 2 post that

Anyway I just had numerous tackles today where the animation happened AS soon as physical contact was made. I kno what your getting at but certain animations will trigger farther away but when I play its usually on contact

Thats not exactly what I mean. The most common decleating hard hit, is on contact but initiates earlier than the hard hits that lead with the shoulder (and to me look a lot more realistic and varied). I am not sure, but i believe it is due to tackling being too high. The same for 2K basketball games, where most of the time rebounding is too high, and when lowered the rebounding looks a lot better (more contact in air, more variation, ect).

Im not trying to be negative about the game. After all im still playing it and its my favorite Football game of all time. I do know theres more variation in the animations with the rating down (and I increase the tackle slider).
