Using rosters in franchise?

I downloaded the 2011-2012 roster on nfl2k5rosters by Techmo2k/Rickster, and when I try to start a franchise it freezes as soon as I begin simulating. Is there any way around this??

That was a pretty early roster and is likely unstable in franchise play.

Is there anything more recent for this year that is more stable for franchise? Im kinda new to the whole updated 2k5 thing I just bought it but id like to run a franchise with this years rosters if its possible

Not yet. Keep an eye on Rickster's thread and the others in here. Eventually, one will be released. Unlike EA, most of these guys are working by themselves so it takes a little longer to get things done.
